I had a delicious dinner at Saxon + Parole last night, sister restaurant to Public just around the corner. This new Nolita restaurant, formerly know as “Double Crown” focuses more on fired up meats, homemade pots and “aquatic delights.”
The ambiance was cozy and filled with candle light and the cocktail list helps to make you settle in. Saxon & Parole, which is a horse and bourbon motif, even has it’s own brand of liquor lining the walls… Bravo!
Brad Farmerie, the executive chef, blew me away with the ‘Portobello Mushroom Mousse, PAROLE Whiskey & truffle jelly.” RIDICULOUS. Other favorites included – the hand-cut salmon tartare, fried capers, roasted peppers, soft-boiled quail egg; The Big Guinness & Five Spice Glazed Short Rib; the Cauliflower & gruyère gratin side and the warm cinnamon sugar doughnuts. YUM
Definitely try it out - Bon Appétit! Bisous NYS
