Opt to Pop your Decor
I finally found the perfect accent pieces for mon petit palais – orchid, velour palmer ottomans by Safavieh.
I searched far and wide from local vintage stores to internet websites, but in the end it was One Kings Lane (join here) who made the angels sing and shine the light on my coveted pieces.
Why do I love them? My apartment is mostly grey, white and black so it is important to have at least one pop color. Plus I love to mix vintage with modern. Also, the shape of the ottoman with the metal studs gives just the right amount of spice to my mixture. But be responsible when doing pop colors and make sure to pop in more than one place. I also use touches of orchid in my framed picture collage above my couch. It’s also a great idea to get splashes of your hue in your throw pillows.
Besides for One Kings Lane, other websites I love for killer deals on unique home decor are The Foundary and Gilt Home. And if you have the patience, don’t discredit Ebay and Craigslist - you can really find some steals. Bisous NYS
