Fall and the City – Parisian Style

Fall in New York City is one of my favorite times of the year.  The leaves turn beautiful shades of gold and crimson, the air smells of roasted chestnuts and of course, I get to break out my favorite Autumn wardrobe!  This means light jackets and coats with lots of layers and complementing accessories like scarves, gloves and hats.  And now that our tans have faded a bit, a bright rouge lip gives that extra pop and come-hither touch.  My hues of choice are YSL Rouge pur Couture, MAC X-treme, and Tom Ford Scarlet Rouge.  Parfait!

I was DYING to wear this look in Paris for fashion week, but since the temperatures were skyrocketed it was a no go. Well now that the temperature has cooled down a bit, I can finally stroll down the streets of the West Village in my chic, Parisian look.

I am in love with the tailoring of this Balenciaga coat.  It is very structured and fitted from the shoulders to the hips with a soft, rolling skirt hem that adds an air of femininity.  I purchased my hat from one of my favorite vintage stores Madame Matovu.  The interesting thing is I am actually wearing the hat backwards.  Don’t be afraid to play around with your accessories to achieve the best look.  The gloves are from Club Monaco, tights are Wolford and booties are Christian Louboutin.  Bon week-end!  Bisous NYS
