Brazilians – as if they didn’t already have it all – flawless women, picturesque beaches, best bikinis in the world and what else? Shoes!
Ah Yes, Brazilians and Shoes = Alexandre Birman. Albeit this man has been bred in the business, his luxurious shoes always play with the landscapes of his homeland Brazil from the architecture to the vivid colors.
I have been a fan of his work for some time. Therefore, I was beyond honored when I was asked to join him for a holiday dinner at Casa Lever after the launch of his Pre-fall 2013 Collection. Plus when you combine my favorite thing (shoes) with my second favorite thing (food) – The answer will always be “YES!”
I have come to realize that designer’s personalities always resemble their shoes. In Alexandre’s case his shoes are exotic, delicate and full of personality. It was such a pleasure getting to know him as well as the rest of the guests at the dinner.
