Blinchikis with the Russkis
One of my dearest Russian friends just moved into a new apartment and in order to properly “warm up the house,” she had a little get together and made blinchiki.
I have never had blinchiki before, but I promise you it won’t be the last. Essentially they are the equivalent to a french crepe (a paper thin pancake). It’s common for Russians to make them sweet with honey or jams, but it seems like they prefer them salty with sour cream, butter and/or cavier – of course!
Our gracious host decided to give us a little bit of everything and not only was it scrumptious, it was dazzling to the eye.
As a bonus, I got to indulge in this delectable spread with some of my dearest friends. I feel like a very lucky girl! Bisous NYS
